Lee Memorial Health System has revamped the Find a Doctor feature of its website in order to improve efficiency and ease of use, while also providing visitors with more of the pertinent information they seek when choosing a doctor.
“We have improved the navigation and layout, and now provide more information and selection options to help patients more easily find a doctor based on their specific healthcare needs,” explains Laura Melbourne, Project Manager of Strategic Marketing for Internet at Lee Memorial Health System.
In addition to changing the look, the Find a Doctor portion of the website has several new features to assist patients in finding amatch for their medical needs:
- The new Find a Doctor tool assists patients in finding a Lee Physician Group doctor or advanced practitioner by specialty, type of care provider (adult primary care, adult specialist, pediatric primary care, pediatric specialist and advanced provider) or name (A-Z listing). - Search results can be filtered by specialty, name, clinical interests, city, types of patients treated and gender of doctor or care provider.
- Physician profiles include their specialty, clinical interests, location, types of patients treated, education, certifications, contact information as well as links to related caregivers. Some profiles have video links and detailed biographies.
- Explanations of each of the specialties are available and related caregivers are also cross-referenced.
- A link to Lee Memorial Health System’s complete medical staff can be found on the Find a Doctor page.
These changes are just one step in an ongoing process to update the website by making it more user-friendly, and focusing on improving the many ways patients connect with Lee Memorial Health System.
