This fall the Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres will have 58 students enrolled in colleges and universities all across this great nation of ours.
The students have been awarded and will be receiving $156,450 in Lehigh Acres Kiwanis Club Foundation scholarships.
This year alone Kiwanis will be awarding 21 brand new scholarships to Lehigh Acres residents, while renewing 19 previous recipients, and still having 18 continuing students.
The scholarships are funded because of the Kiwanis Thrift Store on Homestead Road.
This year’s Kiwanis Hometown Heroes are Deputy Steve Cart, George &Sandy Szymanski, Andrea Adams, John Phelps, Larry Gutridge.
