The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning armed robbery at a 7-Eleven store at Joel Boulevard and Lakeview Drive.
Investigators said an unknown suspect entered the store around 1:30 a.m., pulled a knife and demanded cash from a store clerk, according to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report.
The suspect, described as wearing a maroon, long-sleeved shirt, light-colored jeans, a blue bandana around his face and off-white and blue work gloves, was last seen running north away from the store, according to the report.
A sheriff’s office K-9 unit lost the suspect’s track about a quarter mile from the store.
