It took 20 minutes for 18 firefighters to extinguish a house fire at 3115 11th St. SW Friday afternoon.
No one was injured, and no one was home at the time of the fire. The kitchen and attic sustained heavy damage according to the fire dept. The rest of the house now has extensive smoke damage.
The Red Cross is assisting the family of five, who is now displaced.
The cause is undetermined at this time, according to the staff of Lehigh Acres Fire Dept.
