A Lehigh Acres residence was destroyed by an arson fire that occurred 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The residence was a duplex. One entire unit was destroyed while the second unit suffered heavy roof damage.
According to Lehigh Fire Marshal Ken Bennett, the incident is being labeled as a burglary and arson.
“We’re going to label it as an arson fire. There shouldn’t have been anybody inside of the house. It did not have electricity,” Bennett said.
No one was injured.
