A teenage graffiti artist in Lehigh Acres led detective’s right to him by signing his own name to the vandalism on buildings and at his own school.
The teenager’s handy work starts at Gunnery Road near Leonard Boulevard and can be seen all the way to Lee Boulevard and east of there.
Up and down Gunnery Road, someone is trying to make a name for himself by spray painting his alias all over utility boxes, a water tank and several buildings.
According to Paul Lambertucci’s, while I was away, my daughter called and say they spray painted the whole place.
Between adding security cameras and a good paint job, Lambertucci says it’s going to cost him thousands to clean up the damage.
Lee county deputies say 17 year old Jesus Delgado is responsible for all the graffiti. For now, Delgado is facing felony charges for defacing so much property all in his own neighborhood.
The detectives working the case say the teen marked up the bathroom walls at East Lee County High School by writing his “street name” on them. Deputies found the same name written along several streets in Lehigh Acres.
When Delgado got caught, he told deputies he had a problem with “tagging” and had stopped for a while and for some reason, he just started tagging again.
Lambertucci was also hit with a county code violation for all the graffiti still up.
According to Lambertucci he has 10 days to get it cleaned up or pay a $250 fine by Lee County Code Enforcement.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s Department, Delgado has been removed from the school and sent to an alternative learning center.
