The oldest church in Lehigh Acres First Community Congregational Church
has been saved from closing its doors, for now.
Pastor Deborah Frysinger says her church is one-of-a kind.
“Everywhere you look there is history, this is the first church in Lehigh Acres,” Frysinger said.
But things are looking up.
Six months ago the members voted to sell the building.
“But God has blessed us, he truly has,” Frysinger added.
Now, they’ve decided not to do that, and instead will fight to keep the doors open.
Church members say Pastor Deb’s new vision for the church has brought new life into this house of worship.
