At 11:00 a.m., Tropical Storm Isaac showed very little intensification overnight while taking a westerly track to begin Friday. Winds have increased slightly to 60 mph as the storm moves west at 16 miles per hour. This remains a fairly disorganized tropical storm in the Caribbean more than 1000 miles away from Southwest Florida.
The western shift in the National Hurricane Forecast places more of Florida outside the cone of uncertainty. Southwest Florida does remain inside that cone as weather conditions should begin to deteriorate Sunday night with the worst weather coming on Monday.
