The Lehigh Acres Community Council will hold elections for seven seats on the board. The Council is made up of 41 individuals and representatives from various civic, social, industrial and government groups. The Council deals with a number of issues and services as an advocate to government agencies representing the concerns of citizens in Lehigh Acres . Also, the Council helps citizens resolve concerns and complaints dealing with problems affecting Lehigh Acres. Jim Kreger is the current Community Council President.
To apply as a candidate, fill out an application coupon and submit it with the signatures of at least 20 Lehigh Acres residents. To qualify, an applicant must have lived at least one year in Lehigh Acres. The Community Council meetings are open to the public. The group meets on the third Monday of each month at the Lee County Sheriff’s Substation on Plaza Drive.
