Lee County Deputies report that a man wanted on murder charges across the state in Broward County barricaded himself inside a Lehigh Acres house.
No exact address was revealed by authorities but local residents posted on Facebook that the location was near 54th Street and Meadow Road.
One local onlooker remarked that Sheriff Deputies were attempting to communicate with the man using a bullhorn.
Deputies stated that a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force had been attempting to serve a warrant when the incident escalated to the man barricading himself in the home. The Sherriff’s office was then contacted and more than three dozen deputies responded to the scene.
