Building an Herb Garden.
This month’s guest speaker, Ms. Pat Johnson, of the Labelle Garden Club, will teach us about Making An Herb Mound, a technique first developed by longtime herb lover Kaye Cude.
The meeting starts promptly at 5:30pm on Thursday, August 16th in the Veterans Park Recreational Building, 55 Homestead Road. A once-in-a-lifetime membership fee to Veterans Park of $10 per person is required after one free “trial” visit. There is no fee for the Lehigh Acres Edible Gardening Exchange.
A raffle ticket is provided to each member that brings in an item to exchange whether it be seeds, cuttings, plants, fruit, veggies, or a healthy drink or snack. Our free exchange, mingling, and snacking take place after the meeting has ended.
