It’s been asked could our straw poll last Saturday at the Politics in the Park could have been stuffed by one or more of the candidate’s staff or volunteers at the event. It was possible, but we hope that this was not the case.
Yes, the Gazette’s staff did leave the table for a couple of times to talk to other candidates and listen to their speeches.
Though we believe the poll stands on its own merits as a straw poll, the Gazette is going to do two more polls in the next weeks to see were Lehigh Acres stands on the candidates.
